Warren Beatty, a man whose
career has run from actor to producer to director and writer. His
favorite role now is father to his three children.
Background - Warren Beatty grew up in Northern Virginia.
He and his sister, Shirley MacLaine graduated from Washington Lee High
School in Arlington, the same school that also graduated Sandra
Bullock. Beatty was a drama student of Stella Adler at Northwestern
University.
Early Years - Beatty began his career in TV on "The Many
Loves of Dobie Gillis". He starred on Broadway in "A Loss of Roses"
his only Broadway role. He then hit the silver screen in "Splendor
in the Grass".

In 1967 Warren produced and starred in the box office hit "Bonnie and Clyde".
The film followed the true story of the famous bank-robbers, Bonnie Parker
and Clyde Barrow. Beatty's Bonnie was Faye Dunaway.

In 1975 Warren played the gigolo hair dresser in the blockbuster comedy,
"Shampoo". In addition to his starring role, he also co-wrote and
produced the film.

Beatty received an Oscar for Best Director for the 1981 drama, "Reds".
Personal - Beatty is married to actress Annette Bening, they have
three children. He is the brother of actress Shirley MacLaine.
