. | Sandra Bullock, a young woman actor who defines the word cute.
But not only is she cute, she's in command of any role that comes her way,
be it comedy or drama. Sandra Bullock can also add writer/director/producer
to her resume. She has her own production company, Fortis Films.
She's appearing in two films that her company is producing in 1998.
She wrote, directed and starred in the first vehicle of her production
company, "Making Sandwiches".
Sandra grew up in Arlington, VA and while she was at Washington-Lee High School she was voted 'Most Likely To Brighten Your Day'. Her mother was a German opera singer and her father was a voice coach. Sandra, as a young girl, spent some time in Vienna, Austria when her mother was performing and she often appeared with her. These early performances were a great influence on her career choice. Sandra Bullock was fortunate to get many parts in the beginning of her career, but the movies were mostly bombs. Her first big role was in "Demolition Man", not a great movie, but it led to her role in "Speed". This was the film that caused her career to soar and it's be on the climb ever since. Sandra has been on a non-stop course. She followed "Speed" with such films as "While You Were Sleeping", "The Net", "Two If By Sea", John Grisham's "A Time To Kill", the World War I love story "In Love and War", and the sequel, "Speed 2: Cruise Control."
