Ralph Fiennes (pronounced rafe fines), Tony Award winner, born on December
22, 1962, had a solid career on stage before branching out into TV and
film.
Ralph is in the upcoming "The Avengers" opening 14 August
1998 from Warner Brothers.
Background - Fiennes was born and raised in
England. The eldest of six children he attended Bishop Woodsworth
Boys' School, the Chelsea College of Art & Design, and the Royal Academy
of Dramatic Art. He was a member of Britain's Royal National Theater
and the Royal Shakespeare Company.
American Film Debut - Fiennes became an
instant success with his portrayal of the sadistic Amon Goeth in the Steven
Spielberg Holocaust film, "Schindler's List".
He again gained Academy approval with his lead role performance in the
screen adaptation of the Michael Ondaatje novel, "The English Patient".
