Melissa was a professional at the early age off four when she was in a television commercial.  She's balanced work and studies ever since. 

Melissa has appeared on Broadway in "The Crucible" with Martin Sheen. She's had many roles in TV movies and Nickelodeon specials. 

Melissa Joan Hart had her own series on Nickelodeon, "Clarissa Explains It All".  The series was nominated for an Emmy Award and Melissa was nominated for a CableACE Award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series. This series spawned books, videos, and CDs. 

Now Melissa is the prime time star of "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch".  It's the 90s version of the much loved TV classic, "Bewitched".  "Sabrina, The Teenage Witch" has cast its spell over a whole new generation.  The show is full of situations that all teenagers go through. 

Melissa and her mother, Paula Hart, co-produce the sitcom for their production company Hartbreak Productions.  They're in the process of developing several television movies that will star Melissa's younger brother and sisters. 

Melissa intends to continue her college education.  She has advice for her fans who want to have a career in show business.  She says it's not all glamour, it's tough work.  You go on tons of auditions yet get turned down ninety percent of the time.  If it's what you want, take drama or chorus at school.  Joining a community theater is a great way to find out if it's what you really want. 

Melissa Joan Hart actively supports many charities including the Starlight Foundation, Pediatric AIDS/Kids for Kids, and Audrey Hepburn's Hollywood for Children Fund.
