| Biography | . | Cameron Diaz began modeling at an early age.
In her teen years, with her parents consent, she took five years to travel
around the world on modeling assignments with the Elite Modeling Agency.
Cameron settled in Hollywood and began her acting career. Her first role was in the Jim Carrey film "The Mask" Her next film role was to be in "Mortal Kombat", but while practicing karate in preparation she injured her wrist bad enough to have to back out of the film. Cameron decided to try independent films and appeared in "Feeling Minnesota" with Keanu Reeves, "She's The One", and "Head Above Water". Cameron came back to the big studios and appeared with Julia Roberts in "My Best Friend's Wedding" and won admirable reviews from the critics. She followed with "A Life Less Ordinary" and "Trainspotting". Her future looks bright with many coals in the fire. She's an actress who should be around for many years to come. Awards
