Dixie Chicks Nominated Album of the Year
Watch the 42nd Annual Grammy Awards Wednesday 23 February 2000 for Dixie Chicks were nominated for Album of the Year (Others were Backstreet Boys, Diana Krall, Santana, TLC).
Dixie Chicks Background
Early on the Dixie Chicks were a popular Texas band opening for shows such as: Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, George Jones, George Strait, and Emmylou Harris. They played at the Grand Ole Opry, Dallas Cowboys halftime show, and in 1993 at Tennessee's Inaugural Ball for President Clinton.

Natalie joined the Dixie Chicks as lead singer in 1995.

Debut - Their debut album, Wide Open Spaces, has won over a lot of critics.
