This thriller is based on a city girl (Gwyneth Paltrow) who moves to her new husband's estate at Kirlronan where things get complicated with a vengeful mother-in-law (Jessica Lange). Helen had thought she met the man of her dreams in Jackson until she discovered the other women in Jackson's life - his mother Martha with a narcissism character disorder, to say the least. 

    Filmed in Virginia in the cities of Orange, Charlottesville and Richmond in 1996.
