"Ever After", aka "Ever After: A Cinderella Story",
is the 1998 movie based on the fairy tale legend "Cinderella." Danielle
is the young lady whose father died of a heart attack at an early age and
she found herself relegated to servant status. Prince Henry has a mind
of his own and takes off rather than accept the arranged marriage to a
Spanish princess. Danielle first meets the prince as she mistakens him
for a thief. This chance meeting, in 1512 in France, with the king's son
sets off a chain of events that makes Danielle's life as a servant in the
house of her cold and scheming stepmother more difficult than ever before.
