In "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me", the movie, the comedy,
the follow-on to the 1997 movie by that shaggadelic Mike Myers. Here we
have Austin Powers who goes back in time to hunt Dr. Evil to get his mojo
back. Robert Wagner and Seth Green return from the first film. New to this
film are Heather Graham, Rob Lowe, and Verne Troyer. Both movies directed
by Jay Roach.
Big Opening - Only the biggest weekend
opening ever for a comedy at $54.9 million. That's $16,581 per theater.
Now compare that to his May 1997 movie (Austin Powers: International Man
of Mystery) which grossed $9.5 million for the opening weekend and ended
with $53.9 million for it's entire run.

Mike Myers, the person - Born 25
May 1963, in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. Mike's father was an encyclopedia
salesman. Mike seems to be a pop culture encyclopedia himself. Mike's father
died in November 1991 just as "Wayne's World" was about to open. The "Austin
Powers" films are a tribute to Mike's father (British you know). Mike was
on the TV comedy series Saturday Night Live (SNL) in 1975 and in 1989 to
1994.
Those Characters
Dr. Evil and his cat Mr. Bigglesworth - From the villain in "You
Only Live Twice", Ernst Stavro Blofeld
Frau Farbissina - Dr. Evil's associate is like the henchwoman
in "From Russia With Love", the SPECTRE agent Rosa Klebb.
Elizabeth Hurley - returns as Vanessa Kensington
Felicity Shagwell (Heather Graham) - role is similar to that
of Ursula Andress in "Dr. No".
Ivana Humpalot - not unlike Bond's bad girl Xenia Onatopp from
"Goldeneye".
