Universal was an open air theatre over a decade ago. It is now covered with seats spread over a main orchestra level and mezzanine. The acoustics are excellent. This theatre was build especially for amplified sound. This is an excellent concert hall.

Parking costs extra and it comes with a short hike through CityWalk. Then when you think that you have arrived you continue another short walk past the turnstiles along another bridge-like walkway over a pond. Better leave five or ten minutes just for the walk from parking to the theatre.

Universal Amphitheatre is located just of the Hollywood freeway (101) at Universal City. Take the Lankershim Blvd off ramp. Follow the well marked signs.
