The Stratosphere Hotel Casino is located at the north end of Las Vegas Blvd.

General: The Stratosphere opened on 30 April 1996. This 1,149 foot $550 million tower can be seen for miles. The Stratosphere is the tallest building west of the Mississippi. It is the tallest free-standing observation tower in the United States and it is 156 feet taller than the Eiffel Tower in Paris. It features two observation platforms, a rotating Top of the World restaurant with 360 degree views, cocktail lounge, three wedding chapels, High Roller roller coaster and a free-fall ride the Big Shot. You get a wonderful view from over 100 stories above the Las Vegas Strip day or night. There are also 1,500 deluxe guest rooms, over 40 restaurants and shops, an outdoor pool and a 100,000 square foot casino with over 2,000 slot and video poker machines. The 24 story hotel tower with 1,002 rooms including 100 suites opened 4 July 2001
