MGM Grand is centrally located on a 115 acre site at the northeast Corner of Las Vegas Blvd. South and Tropicana Ave. The MGM Grand is located across from New York-New York Hotel and Casino.

General - MGM Grand features 5,034 guest rooms and suites. The front entrance features a 100,000 pound, 45 foot tall, bronze lion statue making it the largest bronze statue in the United States.

The pool complex is a huge 27,000 square foot featuring five separate pools including a gently flowing river pool. The 1,000 foot long river pool is the city's longest ride of its kind. There are private cabanas, cocktail service, and a seasonal poolside restaurant, the Caban Grille.

Monorail: There is the convenient $25 million MGM Grand/Bally's Monorail at the rear of MGM which connects to Bally's. There is also an overhead walkway above the Strip which connects the MGM Grand to New York-New York and continues to the Excalibur.

Rooms - Four 30 story towers with nine different room selections and suites ranging from 446 square foot deluxe rooms to the luxurious suites ranging in size from 675 to 6,040 square feet. The 4,200 rooms in the Grand Towers completed an $85 million renovation in August 2000. The Mansion at MGM Grand opened in May 1999 and showcases 29 private villas ranging from 2,400 square feet to 12,000 square feet. The Mansion is available to invited guests only.

  • MGM Grand restaurants: Grand Garden Arena: 17,157 capacity, 275,000 square foot events center. Host to shows, sporting events and mega concerts. Barbara Streisand christened the MGM Grand Garden Arena New Years Eve 1993. Barbara also performed again for the Barbara Streisand Millennium Concert. The Rolling Stones have appeared here.     MGM Grand Hollywood Theater: A more intimate theater with a 740 person capacity. Hosts a variety of musical and show business entertainers. Call MGM Grand for reservations.

    EFX Theatre: The 1,700 person capacity features "EFX Alive" (pronounce that "Effects") starring Rick Springfield. This $45 million stage production has more than 250 special effects and a cast of 70. It's a high tech journey through time and space. Runs indefinitely. Call MGM Grand for reservations.

    Entertainment Dome: The Showbar Lounge features high energy bands performing daily. There is a continuous light show on the giant overhead dome.

    La Femme Theatre: Seats 340. "La Femme" debuted on 14 June 2001. All 13 dancers in the show are members of the original Crazy Horse Paris troupe.

    Studio 54: The three story club is a reinvention of the legendary 1970's New York nightclub, Studio 54. DJ's spinning dance music. Open nightly Tuesday thru Saturday at 10pm. Must be age 21 and over.

    Gaming:  The MGM Grand Casino offers 171,500 square feet of gaming space. That is equivalent to about four football fields. There are approximately 3,700 gaming machines ranging from nickel to $500 slots. There are 165 gaming tables.

    Meetings and Convention:  380,000 square foot conference center opened April 1998.

    Wedding Chapel: Art deco themed Forever Grand Wedding Chapel features two elegantly appointed wedding chapels for up to 60 guests.

    MGM Management: A MGM Grand Hotel and Casino is a wholly owned subsidiary of MGM Mirage. MGM Mirage resorts include: Bellagio, MGM Grand, The Mirage, Treasure Island, New York-New York, and the Golden Nugget.
