The Roy Clark Celebrity Theatre is now the Celebrity Theatre.
Roy Clark will be performing in 1999 at the Grand Palace.
The Roy Clark Celebrity Theatre is the first theater in Branson to be owned and named after a nationally known celebrity. Roy Clark started performing at his theater in 1983 and has introduced other nationally known acts to the Branson audiences.
Theater: The theater is a wing of the hotel at Lodge of the Ozarks Entertainment Complex. The theater consists of a nightclub, Roy's Loft; a dinner-theater which is part of the balcony; and another nightclub showcasing local talent.
The dinner-theater has tables arranged in tiers facing the stage. Sit with your back to the outside wall for a better view of the stage. There is a bar in the upstairs lobby. Balcony is open only for the dinner show and serves only prime rib.
Seating: 1,500. Seating downstairs is comfortable, but there are some obstructed seats along the the aisles three quarters of the way back.
Show: The mainstay at the theater is Roy Clark. He performs all his hits, some gospel, bluegrass, Nashville, pop. There's a tribute to Hee Haw with a lot of pickin', singin', and a jawin'.
The world famous Platters perform at the Roy Clark Theater on a regular basis. Their high quality show consists of the greatest hits from Motown as well as other classics and gospel tunes.
Due to scheduled performances around the country, Roy Clark is not always appearing. It would be wise to call ahead to see who the headliner is.
Handicap access: Good
Location: In the center of the Strip on W. SR 76 in the Lodge of the Ozarks Entertainment Complex.
