"Andy Williams Moon River Theatre" exudes elegance with warm woodwork, sophisticated art pieces, antiques, exquisite fabrics. 'Moon River' is a koi stocked pond running beside the building.
Andy Williams plans a great decrease in his appearances next year 2000 in Branson. He plans to do a great deal of touring, including Japan and Australia. He wants to play a lot of golf, and will be spending the month of July in London for Wimbledon. Williams is not planning to appear at the Moon River Theatre until October 2000, but will be there in November and December also to perform his Christmas show.
Seating: One-story theater set in a semi-circle, good visibility from every extremely comfortable seat.
Gift shop: Discreet, more like a boutique. Sometimes Andy is there waiting on his fans.
Handicap features: Wheelchair area and access, Braille signage, earsets for hearing impaired.
Parking tips: In the rear the parking lot slopes sharply. It would be advisable to drop off wheelchairs at main entrance.
Show: Musical variety show filled with wholesome family entertainment. Williams connects with his audience, most are fans from the TV years, but his performance is a hit with young and old alike. He bestows musical gifts from the Big Band era to Broadway to Nashville, and, of course his greatest hits. Williams has a laid back, in control persona which comes from his ten years in TV and his love for his work.
Williams was the first major non-country entertainer to take up permanent residence in Branson.
Location: In the center of the Strip on W. SR 76.
